Bollywood actor Rani Mukerji (46) is reportedly being eyed for a pivotal role in an upcoming untitled Telugu action film.
The movie, directed by Srikanth Odela and featuring megastar Chiranjeevi, is touted to be his most violent film yet.
The director has pitched Mukerji's name for the female lead role to Chiranjeevi (69) who has agreed with this proposal, reported 123Telugu.

The female lead in the film is said to be a middle-aged woman, a character Odela thinks Mukerji would be perfect for.
"The female lead is very significant to the plot. The leading lady is a middle-aged woman, and Srikanth Odela opined that Rani Mukerji will fit the bill."
"The director suggested the actress's name to Chiranjeevi, who also gave his nod to the proposal," 123Telugu reported.
However, there hasn't been any official announcement so far.

Mukerji was last seen in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, released in 2023.
She will next be seen in Mardaani 3, which will be "darker, more deadly, and more brutal" than its predecessors.
The shooting for the highly-anticipated sequel will begin in April 2025.
The film will be directed by Abhiraj Minawala, who has assisted on high-profile films such as Band Baaja Baaraat and Gunday.
