Veteran actor Rakesh Pandey, known for his work in Bhojpuri as well as Hindi films, passed away due to a cardiac arrest on Friday morning. He was 77.
His daughter, Jasmeet Pandey confirmed the news to ABP News, adding that he had chest pain and discomfort late night on Thursday.
He was rushed to Mumbai's Arogya Nidhi Hospital, where he died in his sleep on Friday morning at 8:51am.

Pandey's acting career started with a role in Basu Chatterjee's 1969 film Sara Akash, a critically acclaimed film that received recognition.
