Renukaswamy case: Darshan likely to be charged soon, say police
What's the story
Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, currently in judicial custody for his alleged involvement in the murder of Renukaswamy, is expected to be charged this week.
A senior police officer revealed that a comprehensive chargesheet is being prepared against the accused. The chargesheet will reportedly be submitted after receiving certain forensic and other reports.
Darshan and his alleged girlfriend Pavithra Gowda were arrested in June for the murder of Renukaswany.
Forensic evidence
Forensic report confirms victim's blood on accused's clothes
The forensic report has reportedly confirmed the presence of Renukaswamy's blood on the clothes of the six accused.
Personal belongings of the accused, including clothes, footwear, and leather items, believed to be used in assaulting Renukaswamy, were recovered from their homes following their arrests.
The police have also gathered over 200 crucial pieces of evidence to strengthen their case against the accused in the case.

Darshan, Gowda arrested in June: About the case
The victim, a fan of Darshan, was reportedly invited to meet the actor but was later found dead after being subjected to severe torture.
Reports suggest that Darshan killed Renuka for making derogatory comments against Gowda.
Renukaswamy's body was found on June 8 in a stormwater drain in Bengaluru's Kamakshipalya area after a food delivery boy reported seeing dogs nibbling on a human body.
Jail transfer
Darshan shifted to Bellary Jail amid VIP treatment allegations
Darshan was recently transferred to Bellary Jail after images and videos of him allegedly receiving VIP treatment in prison went crazy viral on social media.
Seven officials from the Parappana Agrahara Central Jail in Bengaluru were suspended following allegations of providing special treatment to the Kannada actor.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara confirmed the suspensions, describing it as a "serious security lapse."
Bail rejection
Court rejects bail pleas of Gowda, Anu Kumar
Meanwhile, a Bengaluru magistrate court has reportedly rejected the bail pleas of Gowda and Anu Kumar, both accused in the Renukaswamy murder case.
In her bail petition, Gowda argued that she was a woman and mother of a minor girl. She further claimed that her attack on the victim with slippers did not result in his murder.
