Celebrities slam TV media for sensational reporting on Sridevi's death
Television media's frantic reporting over the death of legendary actor Sridevi has angered Bollywood celebrities and her fans, who have called the coverage "graceless" and "insensitive". Many celebrities like Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar criticized the TV channels for suggesting various conspiracy theories on the cause of her death. In a cryptic tweet, Farhan wrote, "There's no bottom in the barrel of the graceless."

"Such a shame that whole country is silently watching their superstar Sridevi being murdered live by media," wrote a user while another user said media should stop using Sridevi's death for entertainment. Meanwhile, fashion designer Masaba Mantena appealed people to switch off their television sets.

At the same time Indian Ambassador to UAE, Navdeep Suri has also appealed the media to keep calm. He tweeted, "The media interest in the untimely demise of Sridevi is understandable. But the frenzy of speculation does not help. We are working with local authorities to ensure that mortal remains can be sent to India at the earliest. We are on the job."
