Row over "toilet leakage scene" in Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Sanju'
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has received a complaint against Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Sanju'. Prithvi Mhaske of Sangharsh Foundation has objected to the "toilet leakage scene" in the Sanjay Dutt biopic. In one of the scenes in the trailer, Ranbir can be seen locked inside a cell when suddenly the toilet starts overflowing.
The scene portrays Indian jails in a bad light: Mhaske
Mhaske has written a letter to CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi to address the issue. He stated that the government and the jail authorities have been putting in a lot of efforts to maintain the barracks of the Indian jails. He also said that neither he has heard of any such incident in a jail before nor any other film has depicted anything like that.
He has threatened to drag the makers to the court
Further, in his letter, Mhaske wrote that if the CBFC fails to take any action in this regard then he will have to approach the "honorable court to put a stay on the release of the movie".
Meanwhile, 'Sanju' is being eagerly awaited by the fans
Fans from all over the country are waiting for 'Sanju' to hit the screens. Directed by master filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, the film is expected to take the box office by storm upon its release on June 29. Besides Ranbir, 'Sanju' also features Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Anushka Sharma among others.
