'Ted Lasso' recasts Henry: Auditions underway for Jason Sudeikis's son
What's the story
As Apple TV+ prepares for the fourth season of its hit series Ted Lasso, a major change is in the air. The production is currently seeking a young actor to play the lead character, Ted Lasso's (Jason Sudeikis) son, Henry.
Gus Turner, who played Henry in the first three seasons, was mostly seen via video calls with his father, who was coaching soccer in London while Henry remained in Kansas.
Casting change
Why did the makers need a new actor?
Season 3 ended with Lasso returning to Kansas and reportedly, Season 4 Episode 1 will pick things off in Kansas with Henry showing off his soccer skills.
Till now, Henry has had only brief appearances and according to Deadline, the search for a new actor to play the 12-year-old might have been due to the enhanced soccer skills required for the role.
Interestingly, Turner has also been called in to audition for the role.
