Cardi B, Offset sued for underpaying mansion rent; singer responds
Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B and her estranged husband, American rapper Offset have been accused of underpaying for a mansion they rented. The owners of the property have alleged that the ex-couple used the mansion to shoot content, but did not pay the full market value. In response to the lawsuit, Cardi B took to social media to deny the allegations and criticize the "greedy owners."
'We paid $10,000 in cash to rent property'
Cardi B responded to the allegations stating that they had paid the owners $10,000 to rent the property for 24 hours. She also claimed that they had paid overage fees for an extra hour they used the property. "Now they wanna finesse us trying to say we told them it was a TikTok video when that was nowhere in the contract and like they didn't hear the whole song playing and see how long we were shooting," she wrote.
'Iron your best suit, I'll see you in court'
Cardi B further wrote, "The problem is people wanna find loopholes and get over but iron your best suit, I'll see you in court." She added that the realtors had been trying to settle the issue for months. "It's them greedy owners with their ugly ass house," she said. In another post, she wrote, "AHT AHT AHT not so fast...receipts below! Don't make me put my litigation wig on, (sic)."
