Cannes Film Festival regular Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was spotted at Mumbai airport on Wednesday night, heading for the French Riviera. Accompanying her was her daughter Aaradhya, who frequently travels with her. The actor's right-hand injury, supported by an arm sling, caught the attention of fans and onlookers. Images and videos of their departure have since been circulating on social media platforms. This will reportedly be Bachchan's 21st appearance at the esteemed film festival!

Fans expressed concern over Bachchan's injury on social media platforms. One fan asked, "Oh my god, what happened? Aishwarya, are you okay?" Another admirer commended her resilience, stating, "Such a queen behavior. She is ready to slay even with an injured arm." The helpfulness of her daughter Aaradhya also didn't go unnoticed as one Instagram user noted, "Did anybody notice Aaradhya helping her mom with the handbag?" It's not yet known which designer has Bachchan chosen for her appearance.
Bachchan's long-standing association with Cannes
Bachchan's association with Cannes began in 2002 when she made her red carpet debut in a Neeta Lulla saree for the premiere of Devdas. In 2003, she was a jury member. This year, she will be representing L'Oreal Paris as one of their brand ambassadors. Joining her at Cannes will be fellow actors Aditi Rao Hydari, Shobita Dhulipala, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Kiara Advani. Dhulipala and Advani were also spotted at the airport.

This year, 12 Indian films are set to be showcased at the 77th Cannes Film Festival in different categories. These are All We Imagine as Light, Santosh, The Shameless, Sunflowers Were theFirst Ones to Know, Bunnyhood, Sister Midnight, Iruvam, Maya: The Birth of a Superhero, Vadakkan, In Retreat, Kooki, and Manthan. All We Imagine as Light is notably the first Indian film in 30 years to compete for the Palme d'Or, which is the top prize at Cannes.
