#SainaNehwalBiopic: Can relate to her journey, says Shraddha Kapoor
With the first look of Shraddha Kapoor as badminton champion Saina Nehwal out, the actor says the ace shuttler's journey mirrors her own. In the first look of the biopic titled 'Saina', Shraddha looks like the spitting image of Saina. It will be directed by Amol Gupte, who helmed movies like 'Stanley Ka Dabba' and 'Hawa Hawaai'. The film went on floors last week.
Shraddha realizes how hard it's for Saina to achieve success
Shraddha says she's been practicing for the role for many months and during the process, she came to realize how hard it was for Saina to achieve her success. "I've already clocked 40 classes of badminton in preparation for this biopic. It's a really tough sport, but I'm enjoying myself. To get an insight into the life of a sportsperson is fascinating," she added.
Saina's journey is so interesting, feels Shraddha
The 30-year-old actor says Saina's journey itself is so interesting, right from her misses to her injuries and victories. "I can relate to her journey because I've gone through similar experiences in a different field. Despite everything, she hasn't let her focus shift, and that's what's truly inspiring," the 'Aashiqui 2' actress said, whose last outing 'Stree' has already entered the Rs. 100cr club.
