Famous Brooklyn house, featured on TV, is up for sale
What's the story
A Victorian home in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn, featured in over 100 television productions and advertising campaigns, is now up for sale for a staggering $2.3 million, reported the New York Post.
The four-bedroom property at 28 Wellington Court has been a favorite among major productions including The Daily Show and national commercials for brands such as Kohl's, HomeGoods, and BMW in the last seven years.
Owners' insight
Homeowners Jason and Crystal Marks shared their experience
Owners Jason and Crystal Marks, both advertising professionals, bought the property in 2016 for $1.98 million.
They told The Post, "So much about the charm of this house is the neighborhood it sits in." The couple fondly recalled when Kohl's filmed a back-to-school ad at their home in 2021.
They used their earnings from this shoot to vacation in Hawaii, where they unexpectedly saw their home featured in a hotel TV commercial.
Property features
House's classic Americana appeal and modern comforts
The 2,900-square-foot house combines historic charm with modern updates. Restored stained-glass windows and original hardwood floors give the home an early 20th-century feel.
Meanwhile, the property also includes a sleek kitchen with marble countertops and a cozy reading room-turned-office for modern comfort.
The top-floor owner's suite features a dramatic ceiling, walk-in closet, and bathroom with a clawfoot tub under a skylight.
Community spirit
Neighborhood's small-town vibe adds to the charm
Beyond the house itself, the neighborhood has a unique small-town vibe in the heart of Brooklyn.
It is filled with artists and musicians who host porch-front jazz concerts. Community-led events such as block parties, dinner gatherings, and art shows create a tight-knit feel among residents.
The Marks revealed that their neighborhood "owns Halloween," throwing a block party with DJs, elaborate decorations, parades, and over 300 trick-or-treaters at their door every year.
