Is 'A Quiet Place 3' happening? Producer provides exciting update
What's the story
Despite the delay in its release, the Hollywood film A Quiet Place 3 is still in development, confirmed franchise producer Brad Fuller.
Speaking at SXSW, Fuller recently clarified that last year's A Quiet Place: Day One wasn't a proper threequel.
"So, 'Day One' is not 'A Quiet Place 3,' just to be clear... 'A Quiet Place 3,' we're starting to put it together right now," he stated.
"I am hopeful there's even more Quiet Place movies beyond that," he added.
Delay reasons
'A Quiet Place 3' delayed due to John Krasinski's schedule
Fuller attributed A Quiet Place 3's delay to star and director John Krasinski's busy schedule.
He hoped that once Krasinski is done with his current project, he will shift focus to A Quiet Place 3.
"Now, he's so in demand, and it's hard to get him... He's making a movie now, so as soon as he finishes that, hopefully, he will turn his attention to ['A Quiet Place 3']," Fuller said.
Production update
'A Quiet Place 3' was announced in 2022
A Quiet Place 3 has been in development at Paramount Pictures since its announcement in 2022.
The film was originally scheduled for a 2025 release, but plans shifted to develop a prequel that ultimately turned into A Quiet Place: Day One.
After the success of Day One, one of last year's biggest critical blockbuster hits, the studio is now zeroing in on the third mainline film.
A Quiet Place was released in 2018 and the sequel followed in 2020.
