BookMyShow Stream: All you should know about the new streamer
Popular ticket booking company BookMyShow has entered the streaming business with the launch of its all-new video-on-demand service BookMyShow Stream. The service allows users to rent or buy latest movies from India and across the globe, and watch them from the comfort of their homes on a range of devices. Here's all you need to know about the new streaming service in town.
Service available on BookMyShow portals, other platforms
The service will be available on the BookMyShow app, BookMyShow's website, Apple TV, Android TV, Firestick, Chromecast, and desktop browsers. It also gives the option of downloading content and watching it in offline mode. On the launch day, 600 titles were reportedly available on the service to rent or buy. The company plans to add 2,000 titles in the next one year.
'Tenet,' 'WW84' available for streaming
The service has been launched with a host of new Hollywood releases including Tenet, Wonder Woman 1984, and others. As for prices, the Gal Gadot-starrer superhero flick can be purchased for Rs. 799 and is also available to rent for Rs. 499. Films like The Craft Legacy, Alone are also listed in new releases section. The service will add new titles every Friday.
Some rules about using the titles
To note, buying a film allows the viewer to revisit it whenever they want. But in case the user opts to rent a title, they will have it for 30 days. However, once they start playing that movie, it will be available to them only for two days. The various categories on the service include Premieres, Exclusives, World Cinema, Missed in Theaters, Festival Favorites.
Indian movies 'Pakeezah,' 'Amar Akbar Anthony' available
In World Cinema section, Korean film The Battleship Island, Spanish film A Fantastic Woman, French movie Portrait of a Lady on Fire, and We Are Little Zombies are available. Meanwhile, Indian movies available on the service include Howrah Bridge, Pakeezah, Amar Akbar Anthony, among others.
