Sridevi was murdered? Boney Kapoor reacts to Kerala DGP's claims
Boney Kapoor has slammed Kerala DGP Rishiraj Singh over his sensational claims about Sridevi's untimely death. Rishiraj, in his column for the newspaper Kerala Kaumudi, alleged that the actress didn't die of accidental drowning and might have been murdered. While his claims created a buzz in town, Boney quashed the allegations and called them "stupid." He also emphasized that it's "somebody's fragment of imagination."
I don't want to react to such stupid stories: Boney
"I don't want to react to such stupid stories. There is no need to react because such stupid stories keep coming. Basically, this is somebody's fragment of imagination," Boney told in.com when quizzed about Rishiraj's claims about Sridevi's mysterious death.
Sridevi could have been murdered, Rishiraj had claimed
To recall, Sridevi was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a bathtub of a Dubai hotel on February 24, 2018. While the cause of her death was reported as accidental drowning, Rishiraj claimed that one of his friends, who was a forensic expert, had told him that she could have been murdered. He also emphasized that there were "circumstantial evidences" to prove that claim.
Basis of claim? Dr. Umadathan, who had conducted Sridevi's autopsy
Furthermore, Rishiraj reasoned that a person can never drown in merely one-foot deep water, irrespective of how drunk they are. "Without any external force, no one will die in a bathtub due to drowning," he wrote in his column. Notably, Rishiraj made the claims on the basis of the inputs given by his friend, late forensic expert Dr. Umadathan, who had conducted Sridevi's autopsy.
Circumstantial evidence prove Sridevi's death was not accidental: Rishiraj
"My friend Umadathan told me that the death might have been a murder. When I asked him out of curiosity, Dr. Umadathan pointed out several circumstantial evidence to prove that the actress' death was not accidental," Rishiraj wrote in Kerala Kaumudi newspaper.
