Boney Kapoor breaks down remembering Sridevi, says "She's still around"
It's been over a year since Sridevi passed away, but her husband Boney Kapoor is still coping up with the loss. In a recent interview, the filmmaker broke down while speaking about her, and said, "She may have left for the world, but for me, for us, she's still around". The 63-year-old says he knows that "she is taking care of us". Here's more.
Boney lost 14 kgs while dating Sridevi in 1990s
Remembering old-time, Boney also spoke about their courtship days revealed that he had lost 14 kgs while dating Sridevi. Eventually, he ended up gaining weight post their marriage in 1996. Talking about it, Boney said, "When she was pregnant, she used to have a lot of milkshakes and ice-creams. She had a sweet tooth. We used to go to all her favorite places."
Janhvi has fixed a diet for me, says Boney Kapoor
While Boney admits being a foodie, he revealed that his daughter Janhvi's maintaining a diet chart for him. "Janhvi has fixed a diet for me. In fact, it's one of our family friends who specializes in it. She and Janhvi have decided what I should eat," he added. Boney also recalled how Sridevi wanted him to lose weight eventually giving it up.
"Unfortunately, she isn't here to see me in better shape"
"Sri was after me to lose weight. I tried my best but being a foodie I couldn't. What she couldn't manage after marriage, my daughters did. Unfortunately, she is not here to see that I am in better shape," Boney was quoted saying.
Boney is touched as Madame Tusaauds honors Sridevi posthumously
Meanwhile, Boney also expressed his gratitude towards Madame Tussauds Singapore for honoring Sridevi posthumously. Madame Tussauds Singapore had recently announced the launch of Sridevi's wax figure as an "exclusive addition" to the museum slated to be officially unveiled in September this year. Overwhelmed with this gesture, Boney wrote, "I'm touched that Madame Tussauds is honoring Sridevi and her work by having her figure immortalized".
