Boney Kapoor is a leading Indian film producer born on November 11, 1955. He is the elder brother of Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor. Some of his major productions include Bollywood films like ‘Mr. India’, ‘No Entry’, and ‘Judaai’, among others. Interestingly, ‘Mr. India’ was declared as one of the 100 Greatest Indian Films of All Time. Also, his first film production venture, ‘Hum Paanch’ (1980), helped establish popular actors like Mithun Chakraborty and Amrish Puri in Bollywood. Kapoor also produced the 2000 film ‘Pukar’ starring Anil and Madhuri Dixit that won two National Film Awards, including the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration. He also produced the 2009 Salman Khan starrer ‘Wanted’, which broke many Box Office records and emerged as the second highest-grossing Bollywood film that year. He was previously married to the late Mona Shourie from 1983 to 1996, with whom he had two children: actor Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor. He was later married to late actor Sridevi from 1996 until her death in 2018; they had two daughters, including actor Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
