Sridevi's National Award win makes Boney, Janhvi emotional
Late Sridevi was today named as 'Best Actress' at the 65th National Film Awards for her performance in 'Mom'. The win at the prestigious awards ceremony brought a bitter-sweet moment for her family. While her husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor are proud of the achievement, they wished that Sridevi had lived to cherish the moment with them.
An overwhelming feeling for the family
Reacting to the feat, Boney said, "Thank you. I just wish she was here today to see this." Janhvi and Khushi are elated as well. They extended their gratitude to the government of India, the jury and the millions of fans of their late mother. Sridevi's 'Mom' co-star, Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui, said that the win is not at all surprising.
She was a super mom, says Janhvi
"It's a very special moment for all of us. She was always a perfectionist and it showed in all her 300 plus films. She was not just a super actor but a super wife and a super mom. Her legacy will always live on," Janhvi said.
