Akshay Kumar sells 2 apartments in Mumbai for ₹6.6cr

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has recently sold off two residential units in Oberoi Sky City, Borivali East, Mumbai, for a total of ₹6.6cr.
The deals were registered in March 2025, according to documents accessed by Square Yards on the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) Maharashtra's website.
The first unit, a 3BHK apartment having a carpet area of 100.34sqm (1,080sqft), was sold for ₹5.35cr. Kumar bought this property for ₹2.82cr in 2017, resulting in an 89% appreciation in value.

Kumar's 2nd property sale: Details of smaller apartment
The first transaction alone attracted a stamp duty of ₹32.1 lakh and ₹30,000 as a registration fee.
The second unit, a smaller adjoining apartment of 23.45sqm (252sqft) was sold for ₹1.25cr. The apartment was purchased in 2017 for ₹67.19 lakh, yielding an 86% profit on sale.
The buyer paid ₹7.5 lakh as stamp duty and ₹30,000 as registration fee.

Oberoi Sky City: A hub for Bollywood stars
Oberoi Sky City, the residential project where Kumar's apartments are located, has witnessed a flurry of property sales.
Between March 2024 and February 2025, there were 208 property registrations with a cumulative transaction value of ₹818cr.
The average resale price in the project is ₹44,577 per sqft.
Notably, other Bollywood stars such as Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have also bought multiple properties within this high-demand project in May 2024.
