Bollywood actor Bobby Deol is once again considering a villainous role in an upcoming thriller directed by Priyadarshan and starring Saif Ali Khan. The film, set to begin production in July, will feature Khan as a blind man. Sources close to the project told Pinkvilla that Deol was approached with the script a few weeks ago and has expressed interest. "Bobby loved what he heard, especially the fact that the narrative around his character is full of twists and turns."
Deol's anticipation and schedule adjustments for new role
Despite a fully booked schedule for the next six months, Deol is reportedly eager to participate and is trying to allocate 30 days for it. "He has loved the script and is going out of his way to get the logistics sorted," the source added. The yet-to-be-titled film's production is planned as a 35-day marathon starting in July. The final casting decisions will determine the start date, with Khan also waiting to sign until the antagonist role is confirmed.
Priyadarshan's thriller expected to hit theaters in 2025
The thriller, showcasing a unique dynamic between the Devara star and the Animal actor, is anticipated to reach theaters in 2025. "Priyadarshan is excited to bring this story to the Hindi-speaking audience, and the casting is underway," a source shared. Meanwhile, Priyadarshan's next project with Akshay Kumar is slated to commence in late 2024, indicating a busy year ahead for the acclaimed director.
