'Bloody Brothers' trailer: There is murder, sibling energy, dark humor
ZEE5 dropped the trailer of its upcoming web series, Bloody Brothers, on Thursday. Starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Zeeshan Ayyub as Jaggi and Daljeet Grover, respectively, the Hindi show promises a murder, killers' attempt at tying loose ends, and their utter despair as things fall apart. The mix of comedy and crime is an ambitious endeavor to attempt. Here's a trailer breakdown.
What does the trailer show?
The 2:26-minute-long trailer begins with Jaggi receiving a call from his younger brother Daljeet about how he could not sleep last night because of the "incident." While the older brother tries to play it off as cool, we are shown what the "incident" was. The night before, the brothers had run over an old man, Mr. Samuel, and laid his body inside his house.
Attempts at tying loose ends spirals out
Although initially, the brothers think they do not have any links tracing the death of Mr. Samuel back to them, it's not true. Not only does Daljeet leave his wallet at the man's house but the duo was also seen by someone else during the fateful night. As the Grover brothers find themselves closer to the edge, will they watch each others' back?

Official adaptation of British show 'Guilt'
Bloody Brothers is the official Hindi adaptation of the British mystery-thriller, Guilt. But going by the trailer, it also gives off Death at a Funeral vibes, so director Shaad Ali might find a dedicated audience base if he hits the right nerve with this. Apart from Ahlawat and Ayyub, it co-features Tina Desai, Satish Kaushik, Maya Alagh, Shruti Seth, Mugdha Godse, and Jitendra Joshi.
Here's more on what Ali said of the series
"Bloody Brothers is unlike any brotherly show seen before in India," said Ali, who has previously helmed movies like Soorma and Saathiya. "Jaggi and Daljeet share a twisted camaraderie and this stark personality difference brings out the dark comedy in situations so beautifully," he added. Produced by Applause Entertainment and BBC Studios India, the show drops on ZEE5 on March 18, targeting Holi.
