Unhappy with Salman's bail, Bishnoi community to approach Rajasthan HC
The Bishnoi community, which has vowed to bring Salman Khan to justice, will now challenge the superstar's bail in Rajasthan High Court. They said that the bail order came as a big blow to their long legal battle. Salman on Saturday was granted bail by a Jodhpur court, two days after being held guilty in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.
The community is furious with the decision
"It's a very sad day for us as the court has granted bail barely two days after Salman was convicted and sentenced to five years for killing two blackbucks," said Ram Niwas Dhori of Bishnoi Tiger Force.
Salman was convicted, rest were acquitted
In a major setback for the 'Race 3' actor, he was convicted and sentenced to five years in jail for poaching two blackbucks in 1998. His 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam Kothari were also accused of a role in the killing of the rare antelopes. However, they were acquitted by the court.
