Bill Gates appreciates Bachchan's polio eradication efforts; megastar says thanks
Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently reveling in the success of his latest release '102 Not Out', was in a for a pleasant surprise when Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates heaped praises on him on Twitter. Acknowledging Big B's efforts in making India polio-free, the entrepreneur-philanthropist shared an opinion piece written by the megastar. Bachchan then thanked Gates for his gesture.
Gates seemed mighty impressed with Big B's article
Taking to the micro-blogging website, Gates wrote, "Real-world superheroes rarely make the headlines. But what if that wasn't the case? A stirring piece by Bollywood actor." The article by Big B traces India's journey of becoming free from the disease for the past four years. He became the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for the polio eradication campaign in India in 2002.
Big B was humbled by Gates' gesture
Replying to the tweet by Gates, Big B said that he was just the face of the programme. "Thank you Mr. Gates for this acknowledgment.. the worker is the one who deserves the highest award for the eradication of making India Polio free .. we may have the face and means, but the workers do the "WORK" .. I salute them," he wrote.

Bachchan's big screen reunion with Rishi Kapoor has been lapped up by the audience. '102 Not Out' is going strong at the box office and has raked in Rs. 19.85 crore, so far.
