The premiere of 'Bigg Boss 12' is just three days away and the hysteria around it is unmatched. Hosted by Salman Khan, the show will feature a blend of celebrities and commoners as the contestants. Like every season, BB12, which begins on September 16, will have important rules which every contestant has to abide by. Here's a look at the rules.
Contestant should disclose their criminal records
Every BB12 contestant is expected to disclose their criminal records to the makers. Although the show is open to everyone, including those having a criminal background, the makers want to be aware of the past of the contestants. It seems the show makers really believe in 'past is past' mantra. Also, the more controversial the contestants, the better the TRPs, right?
Walk outs can be very expensive
It is a known fact that surviving inside the BB house is no cake walk and there are situations when a contestant feels like running away from the show. Well, if any of the contestants comes across such a thought, then they will have to pay a hefty amount of money for breaching the contract. It's Bigg Boss' way or the highway!
Contestants can't meet each other before entering the house
'Bigg Boss' contestants are not permitted to ask about other contestants of the show. The rule has been made to avoid any kind of groups before the beginning of the show. Besides, given the celebrity and aam aadmi format of BB, these meetings might affect the game. However, the show does witness groups inside the house after a few days of launch.
#4: No holy books inside BB house
'Bigg Boss' contestants are not allowed to carry any books inside the house especially, any of the holy books like Quran, Bhagwad Gita or The Bible. This rule was made to avoid hurting any religious sentiments on the show.
No say in editing of the content to be aired
'Bigg Boss' is a highly popular show and is known for its set of controversies. It is a well-known fact that all the contestants of the show will be watched and recorded throughout their journey. However, none of the contestants has any say in the editing of the show. They can't decide what will go on air. The editing room takes the final call.
Say no to media interaction before entering BB house
There is a huge frenzy around 'Bigg Boss' and the audience is always curious to know who is entering the house. While participating in 'Bigg Boss' is certainly a shot to fame, the contestants are asked to not interact with the media before entering the show. The makers don't want the contestants' list to be leaked before the launch of the show.
#7: Violence is a strict no-no
You may have a violent streak or you could be a short-tempered person, but inside the 'Bigg Boss' house, you are not allowed to indulge in physical violence. If a contestant breaks this rule, he/she can be evicted immediately by Salman Khan.
