Bollywood actor Bhumi Pednekar is set to reunite with the team behind her critically acclaimed Netflix film Bhakshak for a new project. Per a report by Pinkvilla, the upcoming film will be directed by Pulkit, who also helmed Bhakshak, and will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. According to the portal, the project is currently in its initial stages and an official announcement from the makers may take some time. This development comes after Pednekar recently expressed her desire to work with Red Chillies and Bollywood superstar SRK. During a recent Q&A session on Instagram, a fan had asked the actor which actor she would like to work with in the future.
'Childhood dream is SRK,' Pednekar had said
Pednekar had responded with a video on her Instagram story, saying, "Yaar honestly an actor...Actor Kya superstar, childhood dream is SRK." She added, "I have come close because he has produced Bhakshak, and the cool thing is that Dunki and Bhakshak, both are trending on Netflix, which is so so so cool. Big shout out to Red Chillies. But mera dream hai, Shah Rukh sir. He is just the best."
Pednekar to make series debut with Netflix's 'The Royals'
Meanwhile, apart from this project, Pednekar is all set to make her web series debut with Netflix's The Royals. The show will also feature Ishaan Khatter. This modern-day Indian royalty rom-com show will be directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana. The project will also mark veteran actor Zeenat Aman's Netflix debut. The plot of Royals will intertwine fact and fiction from the rich histories of various Rajasthani royal families, shifting between the present day and past decades.
