What's the story

Bheemla Nayak finally gets a release date! The action drama will release in cinema halls on February 25, informed its makers. This means Bheemla Nayak will clash with fellow Telugu films, Ghani and Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu. Mega-budgeters Gangubai Kathiawadi and Valimai are its other top competitors, whose Telugu (dubbed) versions will release along with their original language counterparts, Hindi and Tamil, respectively.

Context

Why does this story matter?

Bheemla Nayak was supposed to release on January 12, coinciding with Sankranthi. It was shifted to February to avoid clash with other biggies like RRR and Radhe Shyam. But on January 31, Bheemla Nayak makers announced that they will hold back their film till the situation is conducive for a theatrical premiere. Given that the COVID-19 restrictions are easing up, the timing is right.

Lead actor Rana Daggubati revealed release date

While announcing the date, Rana Daggubati, one of the lead actors of Bheemla Nayak, wrote, "25 - 02 - 2022!! The date is set for the POWER STORM to hit the screens." Earlier, its makers had selected two dates: February 25 and April 1. But, they preferred a February outing possibly because RRR, releasing on March 25, would have impacted their collections heavily.
