Shilpa Shinde files police complaint against CINTAA
Shilpa Shinde of 'Bhabiji Ghar Pe Hain' fame has filed a police complaint against CINTAA-Cine and TV Artistes' Association, for banning her from the TV-industry. Reportedly, a non-cooperative directive was issued by CINTAA after she didn't follow its orders. After CINTAA had heard the actress' issue with show producers, Shilpa was asked to return to the show, following which the disciplinary action was taken.
Shilpa Shinde to quit ‘Bhabi Ji’ show
Shilpa Shinde aka Angoori of 'Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai' TV show announced that she would quit the show on medical grounds besides some production house issues. Shilpa had allegedly upped the soap's budget by hiring a designer and stylist, which forced the makers to consider replacing her. The show producers were having a tough time with Shilpa's everyday tantrums to raise her fee.
Shilpa was approached for Kapil Sharma's new show
Shilpa Shinde said that she got a call from Kapil Sharma's new show. She added that they called her and stated that they can take her tantrums and asked her to work with them.
Shilpa angers CINTAA members
The makers and &TV channel representatives had approached CINTAA (Cine and TV Artists' Association) over Shilpa's uninformed absence from the show. Amidst the rumours that Shilpa was roped in for Kapil Sharma's new show, CINTAA summoned her to appear before the committee. But, she hadn't turned up before the body and angered the CINTAA members, which was considering taking a legal action against her.
CINTAA asks Shilpa to resume work immediately
Binaifer Kohli, show-producer, claimed that Shilpa was unprofessional while Shilpa alleged that she was subjected to mistreatment on the sets. CINTAA issued a formal order and directed Shilpa to resume shooting for the show immediately. Amit Behl, Joint Secretary-CINTAA and Chairman-Dispute Committee, said: "Unfortunately, she is breaking the contract. She spoke to me and instead of talking logic, she started crying over the phone."
Ekta Kapoor supports Binaifer, lashes out at Shilpa
Ekta Kapoor, the Indian TV soap queen and Joint MD of Balaji Telefilms, came out in support of the 'Bhabi Ji' show producer. She called Shilpa 'unprofessional', and added that producers are hard working but, earn the least.
Replace show-producer: Shilpa puts forth condition to return
Shilpa Shinde, in an interview, had stated that she was ready to resume shooting for 'Bhabi Ji' if the show-producer, Binaifer, was replaced and the shooting location was changed. She said that her health wasn't good and there were no medical facilities at Naigaon (shooting location). She added that she wasn't mad to leave a great show but, can't work with an over-controlling producer.
CINTAA can’t ban me from TV: Shilpa
Amit Behl, Joint Secretary-CINTAA, said that a meeting would be organized where all CINTAA members would decide the next step to be taken. He clarified that there was no ban/non-cooperative order against Shilpa. However, Shilpa reacted to the proposed CINTAA meeting and said that CINTAA has no right to interfere as it was a legal issue, and can't ban her from the TV industry.
'Bhabi Ji' would shut down without me: Shilpa
Shilpa Shinde stated that because of the emotional drama of the 'Bhabi Ji' producer, Binaifer, she lost her Kapil Sharma show offer. She added that the 'Bhabi Ji' show would suffer as she can't be replaced.
