'Bawaal' marks Nitesh Tiwari, Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor's first collaboration
Bollywood film director Nitesh Tiwari has officially announced his next project. He will once again be joining hands with Sajid Nadiadwala (after their National Film Award-winning offering Chhichhore) for Bawaal. The Hindi cinema will star Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead, in what is surely going to be an exciting fresh pairing. Here's what we know of the project.
Why does this story matter?
Reports about Dhawan planning to sign the dotted lines on a project helmed by Tiwari (Dangal) first made rounds in December last year. Although details about the then-untitled venture were scarce, reports suggested that Dhawan was keen on working on this. The film marks the first collaboration of the actor-director and its shooting is reported to have begun in February this year.
How was the announcement done?
Taking to social media, Nadiadwala's production banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment (NGE) announced the venture on Wednesday. "The National Award-winning duo - #SajidNadiadwala & @niteshtiwari22 are elated to announce their next one together: #Bawaal," the post read. Although no image or information about the Bollywood film was revealed, the makers announced that it is slated to hit the theaters on April 7 next year.

What else do we know of the film?
Now that the title has been announced and a theatrical slot booked, we can expect plot details and other cast members to be revealed soon. Alongside NGE, the project is being backed by Tiwari and his wife/director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's production house EarthSky Pictures. Meanwhile, NGE's most-recent release Bachchhan Paandey failed to soar as high as expected. The banner will next release Heropanti 2.
Both Dhawan, Kapoor have multiple projects in kitty
Coming to the leads, Dhawan is currently gearing up for the release of Karan Johar's multi-starrer Jug Jugg Jeeyo, releasing in June. He also has the release of his highly-anticipated supernatural flick, Bhediya. His other projects include Sriram Raghavan's Ekkis and a Rajkumar Hirani-backed "slice of life" movie. Meanwhile, Kapoor has Good Luck Jerry, Mili, Dostana 2, and Mr. & Mrs. Mahi coming up.
