'Going to be epic': Barry Keoghan teases 'Peaky Blinders' film
Irish actor Barry Keoghan has expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie, describing it as "epic." The Oscar-nominated actor revealed to IndieWire that he has read and loved the script for the Netflix film. "I wouldn't be attached to it if I didn't (read the script). But yeah, I read the script and loved it and have chatted to [Cillian Murphy] about it and it's going to be epic."
Keoghan to star alongside Cillian Murphy in 'Peaky Blinders'
Keoghan is set to share the screen with Murphy, who will reprise his role as Birmingham gangster Tommy Shelby from the 2013 drama series Peaky Blinders. Dune acor Rebecca Ferguson will also star in the movie. The film, directed by Tom Harper and penned by Steven Knight, was officially confirmed in June this year. It is expected to commence production soon.
Keoghan's recent project 'Bird' premiered at Toronto Film Festival
In addition to his involvement in the Peaky Blinders film, Keoghan's most recent project Bird was screened at the ongoing Toronto International Film Festival on September 7. Directed by Andrea Arnold, this coming-of-age story is scheduled for release in November. The actor has previously been recognized for his performances in films such as Dunkirk and The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
