TRP report: 'The Kapil Sharma Show' back in top 5
What's the story
The Broadcast Audience Research Council India (BARC) has released the TRP report of top television shows of 33rd week.
Needless to say, it was a tough competition among the leading shows.
However, Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai managed to retain the top slot, yet again.
Let's take a look at the other shows, which made it to the top 5.

'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' tops the TRP charts, again
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, starring Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi in lead, has been ruling the TRP charts for three weeks now.
Interestingly, the five-year leap in the storyline, and Kartik-Naira's much-awaited reunion did wonders for the show, fetching massive TRPs.
As per the BARC report, the daily soap garnered a TRP of 3.6, which is higher than its previous ratings of 3.4.

Shraddha Arya's 'Kundali Bhagya' retains the second position
The second place was secured by Zee TV's Kundali Bhagya, which got a TRP of 2.9.
Starring Shraddha Arya and Dheeraj Dhoopar, the show has been among the top 5 shows for a while now.
Although Kundali Bhagya has managed to retain the second position for the last three weeks, it witnessed a dip in its TRPs, which was 3.2, in the last report.

'Kumkum Bhagya' sees a dip, but grabs the third slot
Just like the previous week, the third slot was taken by Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya. While the show raked in a TRP of 2.6 this week, it also witnessed a downfall in the ratings, as compared to the earlier performance reports, where it received 2.8.

'The Kapil Sharma Show,' at 4th position, back on track
This week turned out to be great for The Kapil Sharma Show, which has been struggling for TRPs lately.
After slipping out of the top 5 shows' list recently, TKSS finally managed to get hold of the fourth spot this week, with a TRP of 2.4.
Looks like the special appearances by Akshay Kumar and his Mission Mangal team did wonders for the show.

Fifth rank had three shows in neck-to-neck competition
For the fifth position, there was a neck-to-neck competition for three leading shows: Superstar Singer, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
All the three shows scored a TRP of 2.3 this week.
Interestingly, while Superstar Singer and YRHPK clashed last week too, TMKOC saw a plunge in its TRPs that time, and was replaced by TKSS in the list.
