The Shoojit Sircar directorial, which features Banita opposite Varun Dhawan, is being touted as an unconventional but poignant tale of love.
However, the budding actress who is actually based out of London didn't realize that 'October' is a huge deal, until recently.

Massive response to 'October' trailer left Banita overwhelmed
Banita took to Instagram to share an excerpt of her interview with ITV Welsh News in which she recounted that her family and friends weren't much impressed at first.
She confessed that it was only after the 'October' trailer fetched over 20 million views within a day of its release that she and her close ones realized that it is actually a big deal.
Context
She dubbed Varun as the Justin Bieber of India
In the clip, Banita can also be heard saying that Varun is the Justin Bieber of India as he enjoys a massive fan following.
On teaming up with Shoojit for the second time, she said that she was thrilled to work with the "incredibly critically acclaimed director."
They have previously worked together in an ad film which turned out to be a huge success.

'October' is slated to release on April 13
'October' marks the third collaboration between Shoojit and writer Juhi Chaturvedi after 'Vicky Donor' and 'Piku'. Juhi had also penned the dialogues of Shoojit's 'Madras Cafe'.
The film is said to be a game-changer for Varun and an apt launch pad for Banita.
The unusual tale of romance will tug at the heartstrings on April 13.
