Actor Shakib Khan sued by autodriver for revealing his phone-number
As bizarre as it may sound, but an auto driver is determined to sue one of Bangladesh's well-known actors for unknowingly displaying his phone-number in a movie. All hell broke loose when the autodriver Ijaul Mia was flooded with phone calls from females who mistook his number for Shakib's. Mia is now demanding more than $60,000 for the trouble caused by the calls.
Mia's number was flashed in the film 'Rajniti'
Shakib Khan happens to be a big name in Bangladesh, who has numerous awards and recognition in his kitty. It was in his film Rajniti that Mia's number was given ou. According to Mia, he got 500 calls a day and his new wife even threatened to leave him. "Every day I got hundreds of calls, mostly from female fans of Shakib," Mia told.
Autodriver's sob story over stardom
Mia narrated that the phone calls caused him anxiety and he couldn't afford to change his number as he feared he would lose his existing clients. "When these calls started coming, my wife thought that I was having an affair, " he added. A local judge refused to register his case but later did when he submitted evidence about the angst experienced by him.
Mr Shakib has nothing to say!
Notwithstanding the ruckus his careless act created, Shakib has apparently nothing to say about the whole turn of events. In the movie, Shakib was seen narrating Mia's number to his onscreen girlfriend. However, people are still clueless about how the makers got Mia's number and why the digits were narrated out loud. In this confusing scenario, one can only expect the actor to speak-up!
