The Valentine's Week box office battle between Himesh Reshammiya's action parody Badass Ravi Kumar and the romantic comedy Loveyapa, starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, has taken an unexpected turn.
Despite the rom-com enjoying the backing of Bollywood A-listers, Badass Ravi Kumar has emerged dominant with a four-day collection of ₹6.75cr.
Meanwhile, Loveyapa lagged behind at ₹5.15cr.

'Badass Ravi Kumar' witnessed a significant drop in earnings
Despite topping the box office race, Badass Ravi Kumar witnessed a huge drop in its earnings.
The film, a spin-off of the 2014 movie The Xpose, opened with ₹2.75cr on its first day but witnessed a decline of over 27% on Saturday, earning only ₹2cr.
Collections continued to fall with Sunday earning ₹1.4cr and Monday's early estimates showing less than ₹1cr (₹60L).

'Badass Ravi Kumar' debut weekend outshone 'Loveyapa'
Despite mixed reviews and a drop in earnings, Badass Ravi Kumar had a better debut weekend than Loveyapa.
The film grossed ₹6.15cr against Loveyapa's ₹4.45cr, even with an opening-day dip.
On its first day, it managed to rake in ₹2.75cr at the box office and ₹2cr on the second day, taking the two-day total collection to ₹4.75cr.

For Monday, morning shows had 6.74% occupancy, afternoon shows at 12.01%, evening shows had no occupancy, and night shows saw a surge to 20.38%.
