Madhur Bhandarkar, Tamannaah Bhatia wrap first schedule of 'Babli Bouncer'
Acclaimed filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar is right now busy with his 15th directorial, Babli Bouncer. Starring Tamannaah Bhatia, the film's team has finished the first schedule of shooting in Delhi and Punjab. Babli Bouncer will be a fictional coming-of-age story about a female bouncer set in the real "bouncer town" of India, Asola Fatehpur. The film went on the floors on February 18 this year.

Asola-Fatehpur Beri is India's strongest village. For ages, male teenagers and men, even in their 50s, have been working out for two hours twice daily. They climb ropes, wrestle in mud, and do some hundred sit-ups and push-ups, all while balancing their hands on bricks.
What did Bhatia say in the announcement?
While announcing the wrap, Bhatia wrote, "Time flies when you're having the best time everrr!" "I can't believe that it's already a wrap on the first schedule of #bablibouncer @imbhandarkar sir you are the reason the set reverberates with such a childlike, happy and peaceful energy, we have worked non stop but never even at one point felt like we were at work (sic)."

What did Bhatia say about the role?
About why she chose the role, Bhatia (Baahubali and K.G.F) said, "As soon as I read Babli Bouncer, I fell in love with the character because it is one of the most exciting and fun characters with substance that I have come across." "Madhur Sir has a flair for crafting defining female protagonists and Babli too is such a powerful character," she added.

Speaking about the film, Bhandarkar said, "As a filmmaker, there's a lot to be excited for and look forward to, when you get the chance to explore a never-before-told narrative." "I want to portray this story of a female bouncer through a slice-of-life comedic tone that also leaves a lasting impact," he added. Babli Bouncer is produced by Junglee Pictures and Fox Star Studios.
