'Baahubali 2' opens bigger than 'Dangal', 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' in China
After conquering the Indian and the overseas box office, 'Baahubali 2' has now moved on to China. The SS Rajamouli directorial started on a positive note in the neighboring country, fetching $2.85 million (Rs. 19 crore approx) on its opening day. Thus, it has surpassed the first day China collections of 'Dangal' (Rs. 16.6 crore) and 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' (Rs. 14.7 crore approx).
'Baahubali 2' has emerged India's third biggest opener in China
Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty starrer fell short of 'Hindi Medium' and 'Secret Superstar' on day one, thus, becoming India's third biggest opener in China. While Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar's film had raked in Rs. 22.6 crore on the day of its release, Zaira Wasim and Aamir Khan starrer opened to a whopping Rs. 45 crore.

Will 'Baahubali 2' dethrone 'Dangal' as India's highest-grossing film ever?
On the back of its tremendous run in China, 'Dangal' went on to become India's highest-grossing film ever. It amassed a massive Rs. 2,025 crore at the worldwide box office, with more than Rs. 1,272 crore coming in from China. On the other hand, 'Baahubali 2' has so far earned over Rs. 1,700 crore and needs to sustain well in China to overtake 'Dangal'.
'Baahubali 2' has already crossed its prequel in China
With around Rs. 19 crore coming in on day one, 'Baahubali 2' has already stormed ahead of the lifetime collection of 'Baahubali: The Beginning' at the China box office. The prequel had only raked in close to Rs. 8 crore in the neighboring country.
