Context
'Baahubali 2' unlikely to dethrone 'Dangal' as India's highest-grossing film
On the back of its tremendous run in China, 'Dangal' went on to become India's highest-grossing film ever. It amassed a massive Rs. 2,025 crore at the worldwide box office, with more than Rs. 1,272 crore coming in from China.
On the other hand, 'Baahubali 2' has so far earned over Rs. 1,750 crore and now needs miraculous growth in China to overtake 'Dangal'.

However, 'Baahubali 2' has crossed its prequel in China
'Baahubali 2' stormed ahead of the lifetime collection of 'Baahubali: The Beginning' at the Chinese box office on its first day itself. The prequel had only raked in close to Rs. 8 crore in China. In conclusion, the 'Baahubali' series has failed to woo the Chinese audience.
