Azam Khan's fierce response to Jaya Prada's 'Khilji' jibe
Furious over Jaya Prada for likening him to evil Sultan Alauddin Khilji of 'Padmaavat, Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan has sniped back at the actor-turned-politician. He referred to her as a "naachne gaane waali" in his strongly-worded response to the jibe. Both the leaders have been at loggerheads for years now. Here are the details.
Here's what Khan said about Jaya in a gathering
Azam Khan quipped, "Recently, I heard a woman, a dancer, saying something about Alauddin Khilji. Now tell me, when will I do politics if I keep on confronting these dancers and singers?"
The veteran actress had compared Khan with Khilji
Jaya, who had previously accused Khan of resorting to foul play to malign her image on several occasions, yesterday said that Khilji's vicious acts in 'Padmaavat' reminded her of the time when the SP leader harassed her during an election. The character of Khilji was essayed by Ranveer Singh in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial.
