    What's the story

The firestorm created by #MeToo movement has given courage to several women to come forward and share their horrible experiences.

And now in the wake of this campaign, Ayushmann Khurrana's wife Tahira Kashyap has opened up and shared her emotional story.

About #MeToo, Tahira said it is an opportunity, not to just punish the harassers but also for the victims to heal.

    Tahira's story

Relatives are the real creeps, says Tahira

Sharing her own story, Tahira revealed that she was harassed by one her close relatives at a young age.

The incident left her with a scarred soul, and she admitted being scared of a physical touch even when she was dating Ayushmann.

However, her moment of solace came after 20 years when she first shared her ordeal with her husband and family.

    Tahira's request

According to Tahira, communication helps in healing

Adding further, Tahira said that is important for the victims to speak up not just to expose the harasser but also for their own healing as communication helps in healing.

She also urged people not to be ashamed as no one brings it upon themselves.

However, Tahira also emphasized the fact that #MeToo should not be killed by one's personal vendetta or spurious stories.

    Instagram Post

In message, Tahira has a request for all women

‪My #MeToo moment... wish I didn’t have one and neither did anyone. But glad we are speaking about it. Let’s have zero tolerance towards it. And let’s not question how long the victim took to speak. It took me around 20 years. Will it be held against me?‬ #metoomovement #metoo #comeout #loveyourself #expressyourself #zerotolerance
