Nawazuddin Siddiqui's brother Ayazuddin nabbed in forgery case
Ayazuddin Siddiqui, the elder brother of Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, was arrested by Budhana Police in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. The arrest followed allegations of forgery against Ayazuddin. He allegedly submitted a forged order letter from the District Magistrate court to the consolidation department's office last December. This was linked to Ayazuddin's dispute over farming land with a man named Javed Iqbal.
Legal proceedings initiated against Ayazuddin
The order letter submitted by Ayazuddin was later confirmed to be counterfeit. In response, a case was filed against him and Iqbal in March 2024, following a complaint from the DM. The charges were filed under Sections 420, 467, 468, and 471 of the Indian Penal Code. Notably, this is not Ayazuddin's first encounter with legal issues; in 2018, he faced legal action for allegedly sharing an offensive image on social media.
Nawazuddin's personal life has been embroiled in controversies
For the past few years, Nawazuddin has been dealing with multiple personal issues. His wife and Bigg Boss OTT 2 contestant Aaliya Siddiqui, sent him a divorce notice via WhatsApp and email in May 2020. She claimed their marriage had been strained for around 10 years and accused his brother Shamas of violent behavior. However, Aaliya later retracted the divorce notice and expressed her wish to reconcile with Nawazuddin.
Work: Upcoming projects of Nawazuddin
Despite personal challenges, Nawazuddin's professional career is largely on track. He will appear in the upcoming film Section 108 alongside Arbaaz Khan and Regina Cassandra. Other projects in his pipeline include Adbhut, Sangeem, Bole Chudiyan, and Noorani Chehre. Earlier this year, he was seen in the Telugu film Saindhav, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. It stars Venkatesh, Arya, and Mukesh Rishi, among others.
