'Avengers: Infinity War' is now Marvel's highest grosser ever
'Avengers: Infinity War' has been on a record-breaking spree since day one. It shattered all opening records at the global box office and is climbing up in the list of all-time highest grossers with each passing day. And now, in another significant achievement, 'Avengers: Infinity War' has emerged Marvel's biggest hit till date.
'Avengers: Infinity War' surpassed its sequel to achieve the feat
On the back of the humongous collection in China in the first three days, 'Avengers: Infinity War' now stands at a grand total of $1.606 billion (about Rs. 10,794 crore). Thus, it has dethroned 'The Avengers' ($1.518 billion) as Marvel's most successful film to date. 'The Avengers' had released in 2012.
The Disney-Marvel film is now the fifth highest-grosser of all-time
'Avengers: Infinity War' is showing no signs of slowing down at the moment. It now occupies the fifth spot in the list of all-time highest grossing films behind Avatar ($2.788 billion), Titanic ($2.187 billion), Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.068 billion), Jurassic World ($1.671 billion).
The coming together of almost all Marvel superheroes worked wonders
The 19th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings together as many as 22 superheroes and is touted as the 'biggest crossover event in history'. Directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, it features an ensemble cast of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman among others.
