He added that there were plans last year to proceed with filming, but that did not materialize. "So, yeah, at this point, I'm not sure," he concluded.

Despite Abrams's uncertainty, HBO has officially announced that Euphoria will resume filming at the start of next year. There were rumors that the show's creator, Sam Levinson, was considering setting the upcoming season several years after high school to address the gap between seasons and the aging cast.
