Box office: No takers for Ajay-Tabu's 'Auron Mein Kahan...'
Ajay Devgn's latest film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, has had a disappointing start at the box office, earning only ₹4 crore in its first two days. The film, which also features Tabu, opened with a lackluster ₹1.85 crore. Despite a slight increase to ₹2.15 crore on Saturday, as reported by Sacnilk, the overall performance of the movie remains underwhelming. The film is helmed by Neeraj Pandey.
'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' fails to match 'Maidaan's earnings
In comparison to Devgn's previous film, Maidaan, the performance of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is even more disappointing. Despite being considered a box office failure, Maidaan had managed to collect ₹7.25 crore within the first two days of its release, excluding paid previews. This figure surpasses the earnings of Devgn's latest film in the same timeframe.
'Shaitaan' outshines 'Auron Mein Kahan...'
The only notable success for Devgn this year has been with the film Shaitaan, which raked in ₹176.05 crore in India. In stark contrast to Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, Shaitaan had managed to collect a mammoth ₹33.5 crore within just two days of its release, showcasing a significant difference in box office performance. Shaitaan also starred R Madhavan and Jyotika.
'Ulajh' and 'Deadpool & Wolverine' add to box office competition
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha was released alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah's Ulajh, which performed even worse at the box office, earning only ₹2.85 crore within its first two days. Meanwhile, the Hollywood film Deadpool & Wolverine continues to perform well in its second week with collections of ₹7.25 crore on its second Saturday, amassing a total of ₹101 crore in India so far.
