'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' fails first Monday test
The romantic film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, directed by Neeraj Pandey and featuring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, has been struggling at the Indian box office. The movie debuted last Friday with a disappointing ₹1.85 crore nett, marking the lowest opening for any of Devgn and Tabu's recent films. Despite a slight increase over the weekend, earnings fell to approximately ₹1 crore nett on its first Monday.
Weekend spike fails to sustain 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha'
Over the weekend, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha saw a minor increase in earnings, with Saturday's collection reaching ₹2.15 crore nett and Sunday's peaking at ₹2.75 crore nett. However, the film could not maintain this momentum into the week, failing to pass the proverbial Monday test. To date, Pandey's romantic saga has amassed an estimated total of ₹7.75 crore nett at the domestic box office.
'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' faces stiff competition
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is currently competing with Sudhanshu Saria's spy thriller Ulajh, featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah. Other holdover releases such as Shawn Levy's Marvel movie Deadpool & Wolverine, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, and Nag Ashwin's dystopian sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan, continue to perform well domestically.
