Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's next based on Narayana Murthy, wife Sudha
Filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, who is currently busy with Kangana Ranaut-starrer Panga, seems to have planned her next directorial as well. Reportedly, Ashwiny will be making a movie on Infosys co-founder NR Narayana Murthy and his wife Sudha. Reportedly, the project, which received a go-ahead from Murthy, will be jointly produced by Sanjay Tripathy, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Nitesh Tiwari and Mahaveer Jain. Here's more.
Narayana Murthy started as research associate at IIM Ahemdabad
For the uninitiated, Murthy, who was described as the 'father of the Indian IT sector' by Times magazine, started his career as a research associate at IIM Ahmedabad. He co-founded Infosys in 1981 and served as the CEO from 1981 to 2002, then as its chairman till 2011. On the other hand, Sudha was the first female engineer hired by TELCO, India's largest auto manufacturer.
Murthy gives a formal approval to Ashwini Iyer Tiwari's directorial
Confirming the news, Sanjay Tripathy stated that the team is working on the movie in different capacities. He further mentioned that they had proposed the story idea to Murthy early this year and announced the project only after receiving his formal consent. "I had shared the idea with him as he wanted to know how we are going to present the story," Sanjay said.
The team to begin scripting of the movie soon
Without divulging in much details about the story idea, Sanjay stated that the team will begin working on the script soon. However, he did mention that the movie will not just be about Murthy's rags to riches journey. Reportedly, the movie will focus on the inspiring story of Murthy and his philanthropist-author wife Sudha, who are also known as India's first IT couple.
The movie is expected to roll next year
Apparently, the movie is likely to hit the floors next year after Ashwiny completes her multi-starrer project Panga. Reportedly, the team recently wrapped the shooting of the movie which happens to be a sports comedy and revolves around the life of a kabaddi player. The movie is currently in its post-production phase and also stars Punjabi singer Jassie Gill, Neena Gupta, and Richa Chaddha.
