A Ludhiana court has issued an arrest warrant against Bollywood actor Sonu Sood in an alleged fraud case.
The case, filed by Ludhiana-based lawyer Rajesh Khanna, pertains to a purported ₹10L fraud.
Khanna alleges that Mohit Shukla, the prime accused, lured him to invest in a fake Rijika coin (fraudulent cryptocurrency scheme).
The court had summoned the actor to testify in this case but Sood didn't appear, despite multiple summons.

Ludhiana court ordered Mumbai Police to arrest Sood
After Sood failed to appear, Ludhiana judicial magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur issued the arrest warrant.
The court directed Mumbai's Oshiwara Police Station officer-in-charge to arrest the actor.
Responding to these reports, Sood took to X/Twitter to clear his name on Friday.
"To put matters straight, we were summoned as a witness by the Honourable Court in a matter pertaining to a third party to which we have no association or affiliation," read his post.
Warrant execution
Sood will give official statement on February 10
The court directed the police to return the warrant by February 10, with an endorsement certifying the day and manner of its execution or reasons for non-execution.
Sood revealed his lawyers will give a statement explaining his non-involvement on the same day, which is when the next hearing of this case is scheduled.
Meanwhile, the 51-year-old was last seen in Fateh, an action thriller he co-wrote and directed.

Sood's recent philanthropic activities amid legal troubles
Despite his legal troubles, Sood remains active in philanthropy.
Earlier this week, he met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and donated four ambulances to improve the state's healthcare services.
The actor thanked CM Naidu for supporting the Sood Charity Foundation's efforts toward a healthier India.
Sharing photos of their meeting on Instagram, he said ambulances are vital in saving lives and he is glad to contribute to timely patient care in Andhra Pradesh.
