Actor Armaan Kohli booked for allegedly assaulting his live-in partner
Bollywood actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Armaan Kohli has been booked for allegedly physically assaulting his girlfriend, designer Neeru Randhawa. A case against Kohli has been registered at the Santa Cruz police station. After an argument over finances, Kohli allegedly pulled Randhawa's hair and pushed her down the stairs, injuring her severely. She revealed he had assaulted her before too.
Neeru Randhawa recalls horror, says fight started over small issue
Recalling the horror, Randhawa told a daily the fight started over a frivolous issue. Kohli was asking her for the rent of his Goa villa, and his girlfriend said she would transfer it. But soon he started abusing her. "He caught me by my hair and banged my head against the floor," she said. She had to undergo a surgery at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital.
"This is not the first time," says Neeru Randhawa
"This is not the first time he has physically abused me. He had assaulted me in February this year, and nearly broke my nose. This relationship was a huge mistake, but I continued to give him chances despite being warned by friends and family," Neeru said.
After incident, Armaan Kohli begs Neeru Randhawa to return
Neeru Randhawa revealed Armaan Kohli has been texting her incessantly since Sunday night. "Armaan has been sending me text messages since Sunday, asking me to come back home, and is even promising to marry me right away, but I have had enough!" revealed Randhawa who was living with Kohli since 2015. Randhawa and Kohli met through a common friend and soon started dating.
Police slap relevant IPC sections on Armaan Kohli
On Randhawa's complaint, police have registered a case under IPC Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 326 (causing grievous hurt), 504 (intentional insult to breach peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation). The police are looking out for him for further investigation.
