'Arjun Reddy' remake: This 'SOTY 2' actress to romance Shahid
Shahid Kapoor starrer Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster 'Arjun Reddy' has generated quite a buzz. Fans are excited to see Shahid stepping into the shoes of Vijay Devarakonda. And now, in a major update regarding the film, the leading lady has been finalized. Tara Sutaria, who is yet to make her debut with 'Student Of The Year 2', will be seen romancing Sasha.
Tara set to portray Shahid's love interest
Tara will be playing Shalini Pandey's role in the remake. A media report stated, "The leading lady had to be someone who looked innocent and vulnerable as that was the need of the character. Tara is perfect for the role. The film is expected to go on floors this July."

Sandeep Reddy Vanga will helm the Hindi version as well
Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of the original version, will helm the remake too. On casting Shahid in the film, Vanga said, "As an actor, he has no inhibitions. Arjun Reddy is a character with a lot of rage and I think he can convincingly bring it alive. I was clear from the beginning that I wanted to work with Shahid."
It'll be a challenging project for both Shahid and Tara
'Arjun Reddy' revolves around love and failed relationships. It narrates the story of a man who sets out on the path of self-destruction after a heartbreak. The original version was widely acclaimed and earned cult status in Telangana.
