On KJo's birthday, Gurung posted a picture of himself with the filmmaker's arms around him. The picture was taken at the Boom Boom Room, a glam club in New York's Meatpacking District. Gurung captioned the photo, "Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. Happy birthday KJo," which led to speculations that the 40-year-old designer is dating KJo. KJo himself commented on the photo, "Control yourself bhaiya!"
