
AR Rahman hospitalized due to dehydration, clarifies spokesperson

Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman (58) was admitted to Chennai's Apollo Hospital on Sunday morning.
His spokesperson has now spoken to NDTV and given a health update.
"He returned from London yesterday and felt unwell, so he went to the hospital for a check-up," the spokesperson told the portal.
"However, according to the doctors, it was due to dehydration, as he has also been fasting for Ramzan."

Meanwhile, sources close to the musician have assured he is doing fine and recovering well.
Rahman, widely credited for his contributions to the Indian music industry, made headlines recently after his divorce from Saira Banu after 29 years of marriage.
The couple shares three children: son AR Ameen and daughters Khatija Rahman and Raheema Rahman.

Two-time Academy Award-winning singer and composer, Rahman has composed music for films in multiple languages such as English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Persian.
