AR Rahman roped in for Tiger Shroff's 'Heropanti 2'
Academy Award-winning music composer AR Rahman has joined the team of the upcoming Bollywood movie Heropanti 2. The movie is set to be released on December 3 in cinema halls. Here are more details.
Mehboob will be penning the lyrics
Along with Rahman, Mehboob has been signed up as a lyricist. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on Twitter on Monday. To note, the movie's director Ahmed Khan had last worked with Rahman and Mehboob in the 1995 romcom Rangeela. The legendary movie featured superstar Aamir Khan and Urmila Matondkar. Shroff called Rahman's association with the project his 'honor'
Yesterday, Shroff also gave his take on the news. Taking to his Instagram handle, he shared a post that talked about Rahman's association. He said it was an absolute honor and privilege to work with the maestro. This is the first time Rahman is collaborating with Shroff. In 2014, Shroff had debuted with the first film of the Heropanti series.
Reportedly, the album has five songs
If reports are to be believed, the album of Heropanti 2 will have five songs. A new poster of the movie was released on Shroff's birthday earlier this month. "My first love is back. Action, thrill, like never before! Let's celebrate this one together on the 3rd of December in cinemas (sic)," he had written. He will be romancing Tara Sutaria in the movie.
Shroff will be reuniting with his 'Heropanti' co-actor soon
The 2014 movie revolved around the love story of Bablu (Shroff) and Dimpy (played by Kriti Sanon). Dimpy belonged to a patriarchal family from Haryana and her father disapproved of her relationship with Bablu. Their story connected with viewers and Heropanti went on to become one of the most successful movies of 2014. Meanwhile, Shroff and Sanon will team up for Ganapath Part 1.
