'Aquaman' director James Wan tells fans not to bully movie-haters
Aquaman has hit the box office, and is making waves in terms of collections in domestic and international markets. It has also won a place in the fans' hearts as one of DC Extended Universe's better movies due to balanced storytelling and mind-boggling graphics. Fans have praised James Wan, the director, but he has his own request to fans. Here's what he said.
Wan asks fans of 'Aquaman' to stop harassing haters
Wan took to Twitter to request fans of the movie to stop bullying those who did not happen to like his comic-based film. He mentioned how it had come to his attention that Aquaman haters were being harassed by fans, and he asked them to stop immediately since it was not the kind of support he wanted. He requested fans to be respectful.
Wan asks haters to refrain from personally attacking him
Once Wan was done addressing his fans, he turned to the haters as well. Taking a balanced approach, the director said that while it was absolutely fine to not like his films, there was no need to attack him personally. He also reached out saying that haters should not tag him on hate posts. Having addressed both sides, Wan ended with 'peace fingers' emoji.

Fans and haters defended and attacked all parts of movie
As with all superhero movies, it sparked heated debates on social media. These debates are usually between the loyal Marvel and DC camps and they often devolve to personal insults and attacks. Aquaman was no different as parts of the movie including dialogs, visual effects and action sequences were picked apart and analyzed with fans trying to defend the movie, while haters attacked it.

Money talks louder than haters and fans, and Aquaman has been a deafening success. It has grossed $188.8mn which is nearly Rs. 1,317cr in the domestic market. It earned $748.8mn or around Rs. 5,230cr globally. The film has Jason Momoa playing the titular role.
