Aquaman's extended trailer and poster showed Arthur Curry played by Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo on HBO's hit-series 'Game of Thrones'.
The story follows the fight for Atlantis' throne between Curry and half-brother King Orm, played by Patrick Wilson of 'The Conjuring' fame.

The creatures
They rose from the sea like new gods
Wan hash-tagged his tweet as hammerhead and tylosaur, which are to be the steeds or riding creatures for Vulko and Orm.
Vulko, in comics, is one of Atlantis' primary political advisers and will likely support Curry in his claim to the throne. He is seen riding the hammerhead in the tweet.
Orm, the king who wants chaos is seen riding the impressive prehistoric tylosaur.

The cast and director share some laughs
While fans were extremely excited at this juicy bit of information, Wilson and Wan shared a few laughs over their tweets.
Wilson claimed to miss his tylosaur, to which Wan replied that it was a mechanical bull, implying the CGI had gone in into making it look like the imposing sea creature.
The two also joked about Wan's tweet ruining the movie's magic.

Opinion
What the sea creatures mean for the movie
'Aquaman' will feature plenty of underwater battles and according to comics, people from Atlantis can talk to the sea creatures.
Thus these creatures could well be instrumental in the fights we will see in the film.
They are not just steeds, but loyal soldiers during battle.
It remains to be seen what creature the rightful king of Atlantis, Arthur Curry, will ride into war.
